Antonio Jose de Sucre also known as the “Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho” (English: “Grand Marshal of Ayacucho”), was a Venezuelan independence leader and the second President of Bolivia. Sucre was one of Simón Bolívar’s closest friends, generals and statesmen.
